What Is A Pre-Order?

Pre-orders are products that have not yet been released, but can be purchased in advance of the release date. Once we have the items in stock, we will ship them to you directly, usually before or on the release date. Our pre-orders typically start 10-12 weeks before a release's street date. By the time you are pre-ordering, we are already very deep into the manufacturing process. Your pre-order will have a product attached to it.

When will you ship my pre-order?

We provide an approximate shipping date for each pre-order item. We do our best to ensure that your item is shipped on or before this date, but sometimes things can take a little longer than expected. Often times, due to Vinyl and Compact Disc production times, we do not provide an exact date, but an estimated "fuzzy" date, e.g. Mid-December. We do our best to provide an accurate as possible shipping timeframe, but times may vary beyond our control. If you are concerned about the arrival time, it may be best to contact us prior to purchase.

When do I pay for a pre-order?

Your payment method will be charged for the full order amount (including shipping costs) once your order is placed to reserve your product.

What if I buy both a pre-order record and a released record?

We will ship all of your order once the entire order becomes available. If you would like something we have in stock before your pre-order is available, please create a separate order.

We set aside inventory when pre-ordered, so your choice will be guaranteed to ship. If you have questions, send us a message, we're happy to chat.

When will I receive my order?

Shipping dates vary with each release. In-stock items will almost always ship out within 3-5 business days, but delivery can take anywhere from a few days to several weeks depending on several out of our control factors. Pre-order items have various shipping times denoted on their respective product page. 

I haven't got my order yet and I want to compose an email yelling at you!

Please don't. Check with your local delivery first, then, check to see if you've ordered a pre-order. After that, if you still have questions, send us a normal email, not one that yells at us. We're trying our best.

I have a question about my order. How do I contact you?

You can contact us here. Please be sure to include relevant information (name, order number, link to product you have a question about, etc.)

How do I know if my order went through?

After you have placed your order, you will automatically receive an order confirmation from us. If you do not receive a notification, contact us here.

My product arrived damaged! Can I get a replacement?

Getting a damaged record is a huge bummer and we totally understand. Every product is inspected before it is packed and we guarantee that every record is in 100% perfect condition when it leaves our office. We are not responsible for damages that occur while your package is in transit. That being said, depending on the severity of the damage, we will try to accommodate replacement requests provided with photos of the damages. We may not have what you ordered in-stock anymore. We try to keep a reserve during pre-orders, though. Please contact us through the contact form and we'll get back to you ASAP.

Can I buy your releases at my favorite record store?

We sure hope so. Check out a list of stores we know to have some of our releases, and when in doubt, just ask your store and they can most likely order our records.

Do you sell to stores? How do I place a wholesale order?

Our entire catalog is available via distribution worldwide. If you are a record store and want to carry our releases, we are already in your system. Our catalog is available from CPI Distribution. CPI also makes our catalog available to several one-stops globally: All Media Supply, Alliance, MVD (outside US), Plastic Head (UK), Sonic Rendezvous (BE, NL, LU). We also sell direct to record stores. Shipping is so expensive to my country! Can you make it cheaper?

Sorry, no. Postage is set by the shipping providers. We do everything we can to make sure your purchases are sent safely and quickly, and we work to keep those costs low, but the postage is out of our control. Using a flat rate method allows us to spread the cost of every package around, and make it cheaper over all for everyone. We do sell to stores, so have your favorite local store get in touch with us, and we'll send them a catalog.
