Hailed as “one of the most sought-after songwriters and collaborators in the Sooner State and beyond” (Wide Open Country), Linville’s session and touring work include credits with artists ranging from fellow Oklahomans Samantha Crain and John Moreland to longtime collaborator Hayes Carll and indie rock stalwart Berwanger (feat. members of the Anniversary).

On Friday Travis Linville imprints his masterful presence once again with the LP I’m Still Here, cooked up with a dream team of contributors and produced by fellow Broken Arrow artist and longtime fan JD McPherson for nine intoxicating originals (and a Willie Nelson cover featuring Hayes Carll) that toe the line between indie, country, rock, and beyond, including the piano-driven Tulsa-sound-evoking “I Saw You”!

Oklahoma native Travis Linville’s love of music was ignited as a small child on the built-in stage in his grandparents’ music room, and since then, his thirty-something years of sweat equity have cemented him as “one of the most sought-after songwriters and collaborators in the Sooner State and beyond” (Wide Open Country) and “the Godfather of modern Oklahoma folk” (Oklahoma Gazette). 

It’s been a real joy getting to play songs from Travis Linville’s upcoming album, I’m Still Here on WMOT. He’s a much sought after writing and musical collaborator in his native Oklahoma. The new album was recorded partly in Nashville and was produced by JD McPherson
