Wannabe: "Coyote" by John Calvin Abney
“Coyote” is yet another huge leap forward for JCA as I think he is still exploring and finding out who he is as a musician and who he wants to be. Where I’ve previously pigeonholed him as “Americana,” he has now surpassed that type of gentrification as he’s become a songwriter that is able to capture the ubiquitousness of human nature. His music traverses space and time to become a reflection of those listening and there’s a lot of magic to be found in that skill.
