Bay Bridged: M. Lockwood Porter to debut new work at Rickshaw Stop
It's been a while since we heard from M. Lockwood Porter. Emerging from an eight-month semi-hiatus, Porter and his full band will be appearing at Rickshaw Stop next month to test-drive some new material. The show is also being filmed for reasons, we assume, will be made clear at a later date.
For those who don't already know, Porter's long been a favorite of Bay Bridged staff. Starting with rousing, rootsy numbers in his earlier work, he really impressed us with the Springsteenian calls-to-arms on 2016's How To Dream Again. Who knows what turn in sound this new stuff will bring, but we recommend hitting Rickshaw Stop on July 12 to find out.
The lineup includes a bunch of other folks we've been excited about recently, like Van Goat and Madeline Tasquin. Don't miss this one.
