Although Linville can play any number of instruments ranging from guitars, lap steel, pedal steel, mandolin, Dobro and piano, the clear emphasis and most impressive element is his songwriting.

The acclaimed Oklahoma singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist recently played his first in-person public concert in many months outdoors at Tulsa's Philbrook Museum of Art, his calendar is starting to fill up with shows, and he is finally releasing Friday his full-length album "I'm Still Here."

Producing a record is somewhat akin to managing a baseball team – experience, technical knowledge and an understanding of life on the road are all necessary skills. But the ability to coax the best out of each player is really the heart of the job.
